Hello Mohammed,

When importing bitmaps and icons into OnBase using the preconfigured import process, the process looks for the System Disk Group as Disk Group #101. If your Disk Group in your environment is configured as anything other than 101, you will receive this error.

There are 3 options to correcting this issue (technically 4 but the 4th option is to start over from scratch and I am guessing most people don’t want to do that):

1. Hyland can dial in and run a DB statement

2. Point the process and document type to a new Disk group (not the System Disk Group) and re process

  • Go to OnBase Configuration
  • Document > Document Types • Select ‘SYS System Bitmaps’ > Settings
  • Assign the new Disk group
  • Do the same thing for ‘SYS System Icons’
  • Go to Import menu > Document Import Processor
  • Select ’System Bitmap and Icon Importer’ >Settings
  • Under ‘Processing’ Tab > Select the new Disk group (should be defaulted to ‘System’)
  • Go to client, and re process again

3. Create a DIP process to import the bitmaps and Icons:

A. Configure the DIP process:

  • Launch OnBase Configuration, select Import --> Document Import Processor, click on the >>System Bitmap and Icon Importer.
  • Modify the Default Directory and Default File Name to point to the correct location
  • Verify that the Disk Group is set to 'System'

B. Register the Client Workstation for DIP:

  • Launch the OnBase Thick Client, select Admin --> User Management --> Workstation Registration
  • Select the workstation that has an asterisk (*) next to it from the list of workstations listed on the left-side of the dialog(that is the current workstation)
  • Under 'Products Registered', click on the dropdown arrow, scroll down to 'Document Import Processor', then click on 'Register'
  • Click on 'Exit' to close the Products Registered for Workstation dialog box

C. Run the DIP process:

  • Select Processing --> DIP, select 'DIP Format'
  • Under 'Process Formats', select the '>>System Bitmap and Icon Importer', right-click, then select 'Document Import Processor'
  • When the Document Import Processor dialog is displayed, click on 'Process'
  • Commit the batch:
  • Select 'Awaiting Commit', then scroll down through the Processed Batches to locate the >>System Bitmap and Icon Importer batch
  • Right-click on the batch, then select 'Commit Selected'

Thanks.
