Copying documents from a production system to a test instance.

We want to move a few hundred documents from our production system to our test system. I assume that when we export the documents from our production instance to our test instance it will come with a DIP file to import the documents into test.

How do other users accomplish this task?

Hi @Rowlen Wilson ,

You can use the Export feature in OnBase Configuration to export the Document Types from one environment and import them into a different one.

In the Thick Client, you can search for the documents you want to export.  From the results list, select the desired documents, right-click and click on Export to DIP File.  That will create self-configured DIP file.  You place that in the production Disk group folder.  In the test environment, set up the DIP process.

I know this says cloud administration, but it works in on-prem environments as well.
