Hello,
We having been seeing a lot of sporadic thick client crashes using Onbase 15.
It seems to happen the most when users have 2 reports open at the same time
and perform text searches within each report. We originally thought this may have been .NET
related but further troubleshooting is leading us to think that it may not be the case.
We are running . NET 4.5.2 on some workstations and 4.6.2 on others but the issue
occurs in both places. (I believe 4.5.2 was the min for Onbase version 15)
The Event Viewer references a .NET Runtime Error on Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Exception Info: System.AccessViolationException
at <Module>._wWinMainCRTStartup()
Procmon references a file lock on these 2 dll’s right before it crashes.
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\mscorrc.dll
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\diasymreader.dll
We also found this Microsoft article that references issues with the diasymreader.dll
Verbose references an error in DDS:
"ERROR - DDS reply not received! Request failed" followed by IP of DDS Server
Anyone have any ideas of what these errors may be pointing to as a root cause?
Thanks!
