Auto fill keyword set from keywords on a different document type.

Is it possible to have an auto-fill keyword group be filled off of keywords from another document type. For example. We have a batch sheet that is going to have check number, check date, check amount etc on it. Is it possible for the checks, when scanned, to have an auto fill keyword group that enters the rest of the check information when the check number is entered during indexing? The information is being entered through an e-form.

Hi Geoff,

Is the indexing of the e-form done manually by a user or is it part of some sort of import process like DIP? Most of the import processes allow for the creation or update of existing Autofill Keyword Set rows on import.

The E-Form is actually being done manually in OnBase. However I'm wondering if it would make more sense to do create it as a CSV and then have it imported into OnBase through DIP. I would want OnBase to read the entire document (which is going to be a list of between 5 and 20 rows of data as one document, and each individual row as an individual entry into an autofill keyword set. Is that something that is more feasible?

Geoff,

You could certainly import the CSV via DIP and use it to populate the Autofill Keyword Set and also generate E-Forms. If you don't need the E-Form, you could also just use the AFKS Import Process to populate the Autofill in the first place.

If the E-Forms need to be manually indexed, you may be able to create an External AFKS that points to the keyword storage for the E-Forms however that's probably over-engineering a solution if you have the option to import the data in a different method.

Hope that helps!
