The Healthcare Product Team is evaluating Hyland’s approach to user authentication and authorization for our new healthcare products and also looking to add multi-repository support to the EMR integrated viewer (Clinician Window). With that in mind, we are seeking feedback from our customers… specifically IT staff and OnBase System Administrators on the following questions:
- How often is AD/LDAP used?
- Do all clinicians get AD accounts or are there clinicians (particularly physicians) who only have accounts in OnBase (without AD/LDAP accounts)?
- Do you have clinicians who are treated as contractors and not employees of the hospital?
- Do these clinicians have AD accounts?
- How are clinician accounts provisioned (i.e. created)?
- Through bulk import or auto-provisioning?
- If users are auto-provisioned, is there a manual step taken at the end to complete provisioning?
- What percentage of users need emergency access (break the glass) to restricted patients?
- What percentage of your patient population may be considered restricted/privileged/VIP?
