The OnBase Certified Application Programming Interface (OCAPI) certification is awarded to OnBase professionals who demonstrate an understanding of the OnBase APIs and their functionality.
There are two ways to get the OCAPI.
Successfully completing either course the API Certification is valid for two years.
Becoming an OCAPI individual demonstrates a deeper understanding of OnBase. Furthermore there are added benefits to an organization to those that employ an OCAPI individual.
Full access to the OnBase API documentation (https://sdk.onbase.com). The API documentation has a additional information available including API overviews, articles, code samples, as well as Java and .NET Reference guides.
Upon successful completion of the OCAPI course, a complementary Unity Automation API license is granted to the organization in which the individual is employed. This license can be used to extend the OnBase functionality of such modules as Workflow, Scanning, WorkView, and other modules utilizing the Unity Automation API.
The Unity Automation API is used for extending OnBase functionality. It cannot be used to create external applications that connect to OnBase. External applications connecting to OnBase will require the use of the Unity Integration Toolkit license.
Any organization employing a individual with an active OCAPI certification will be granted direct access to the OnBase API Support team. This is a specialized team that can provide assistance with the OnBase Unity or REST APIs.
For more information about what the API Support team may assist with, please visit the OnBase API Support Team.
