From a scan queue, after doc separation, we'd like to convert multi-page tiffs to pdf. It appears that we can convert but the mtif is also saved. Is there a way to do this that will result in only the PDF version being saved versus having both the mtif and pdf? Thanks

The PDF Conversion queue is designed to create renditions only, which will leave the original image format files on the document as well (there is one rendition of the original, and a new rendition that is PDF). Unfortunately, there is no automatic mechanism to delete the original image rendition once this process completes (we maintain it for safety purposes - if the PDF conversion yielded a corrupted document and the original was deleted, then the document integrity would be compromised).

You can set your document type to open as a PDF by default however if you don't want to force your end-users to choose.
After you set your document type to allow multiple renditions, you can set the default file format to be PDF. This will tell the Client to check for the PDF rendition of a document and, if it exists, open it before trying the next rendition.
So the image rendition will still exist, but the PDF rendition will open first.
I hope that helps, too.
