I have a secret. I’m Batman.
Ok, not really, but I am a huge Batman fan. And I absolutely love the “Dark Knight” trilogy. I’ve probably watched Heath Ledger’s incredible performance as the Joker at least 50 times.
I’m also a big fan of the Batman television series from the ‘60s. Therefore, I’m going to switch back and forth between those vastly different worlds. Please forgive me.
As some of you out there already know, there’s a new Bruce Wayne in town. Recently, “The Batman” hit theatres. So, I figured it’s the perfect time to share how the Hyland Cloud can vastly improve Batman’s crime-fighting efforts.
Fasten your safety Batbelts, here we go!
Issue: Connectivity
True, it’s nice and cool down there in the subterranean netherworld under Wayne Manor. Really good for all the Batservers, right?
But caves tend to flood. Especially caves with waterfalls in them. And when Batman is battling a super-villain for the soul of Gotham City and needs access to critical information from the on-prem High-Spectrograph Batanalyzer™, he needs connectivity.
And he needs it now. Even if the Batcave is under water.
Solution: To the Hyland Cloud!
There, you’ll find 99.99 percent data availability.
With your information stored in highly available, N+1 redundant infrastructure that includes failover exercises, replication, and incidence response protocols, you’ll have access to the information you need to provide service to your community of customers. Even when the Joker’s in town and up to his old tricks.
Issue: Lack of flexibility
A bullet-proof suit that helps you survive repeated falls from skyscrapers isn’t very flexible. That’s why Bruce asked Lucius Fox — CEO and president of Wayne Enterprises, as well as the enthusiastic provider of the Dark Knight’s gadgets — to make him a new suit.
“You want to be able to turn your head,” says Fox.
Think of your on-premises technology as the original Batsuit. Maybe even the hilarious one Adam West wore in the TV show. That Batsuit had a utility belt with amazing features — for 1966.
Alas, technology has advanced a bit since the days of the blinking red Batphone, old chums.
Solution: To the Hyland cloud!
The cloud is like the Batsuit 2.0. Always ready to help, Lucius Fox developed a new Batsuit made of hardened Kevlar plates with titanium-dipped tri-weave fibers.
“You’ll be lighter, faster, more agile,” Fox tells Wayne when he demos the new suit’s capabilities.
The cloud is a lot like a Batsuit 2.0. It’s important. Because business is a lot like crime fighting — you need to be able to turn your head, so you can proactively evaluate the entire business climate and save the day. Meanwhile, letting passionate experts keep your infrastructure optimized and uncompromised frees your innovative employees to pivot toward coming up with the next great idea.
Actually, Bruce Wayne is worth $9.2 billion, while Wayne Enterprises has $33 billion in assets, according to Money.
So, Batman doesn’t need to worry about reducing costs like legacy tech, on-premises architecture, and server maintenance. After all, a guy who lives in a 42,500 square-foot mansion with a butler and a giant cave full of cool technology underneath doesn’t need to make budget requests.

Issue: Scalability
Ah, the Batrope. Batman and Robin usually use it in tandem with the Batarang. This gives the dynamic duo the ability to scale the sides of Gotham City high rises — fulfilling their daily requirement of exercise while keeping the element of surprise on their side.
But business isn’t like the ‘60s show, where scaling is as easy as turning the camera sideways and inserting a celebrity cameo. To scale, you need to continually evaluate your needs both now and into the future.
Solution: To the Hyland Cloud!
To succeed, your organization needs a platform that meets your needs today, while offering scalability to grow and evolve with you.
That’s where the cloud really helps. The right platform will automatically deliver frequent updates and enhancements — all developed by specially trained and accredited experts. Free from managing servers and dealing with legacy systems, your IT experts can focus on higher-value goals like growing the business.
If you don’t know what the Batusi is, you’re missing out. But rest assured, Batman shakes a mean cape when he’s dancing, that’s for sure. The Dark Knight, not so much.
Regardless, if you’re looking for constant connectivity, fearsome flexibility, and super scalability, don’t look to the sky for the Batsignal. Head to the Hyland Cloud!
