HL7 OBX. Specify file format (EP5)

Good Morning,

we have inbound documents through HL7 Import, we need to have the file format specified, as it's not the default format set on the document type.  What would the segment field name and user defined or data field value be to specify the document format?  We had thought that OBX-2, Value Type / User Defined "$$FILEEXT" would be it, but that literally sets the file extension as seen in the diskgroup.

Unfortunately there currently isn't a way to set the file format using something like the "$$FILEEXT" variable. So the only option is to use the Default File Format of the document type itself or to manually set it in the mapping screen.

Here is the Idea I submitted to be able to use the "$$FILEEXT" variable to dynamically set the file format if you want to vote it up.
