Has anyone on Version EP3 tried opening Document Composition Templates in HTML Web Client using the new Hyland Desktop Host?

Set it up per MRG but receive error "There was a problem loading the Hyland Desktop Host" Also doesn't seem to work in Workflow only Retrieval.

Finally have this working with both Chrome and Edge. Took some time and help from Greg Cieslik at Tech Quest.

Its all about getting the setting to align.

First, make sure whitelist has correct URLs. For me it looked like this:

{"WhitelistedAddress": [ "https://www.mydomain.com", "http://127.0.0.1:8080", "http://localhost", "https://UrltoOnbaseWebclient.mydomain.com" ] }

Then had to make some minor changes to the Compose workflow action.

Selected Override Template settings, checked Force Preview and Disable Import Dialog.

After this, Word template pops up for editing when adhoc task is selected.

Unfortunately, Composition Preview Print and Redo buttons are no longer available.

New best solution for EP3 forget Desktop Host

Use IE Mode for Edge.

DocComp now works in Edge browser.

Michael,

Did you find a solution for this?  I have the same problem occurring in the Web Client.  However, the same ad hoc task works correctly in Unity.

Unfortunately i didn't find a solution. Sorry.

Has anyone had any luck with this yet? We are revisiting this since we are moving from IE to Edge and need this to work in WorkFlow. Nothing has changed I am still able to get this to work in retrieval but not via a Workflow action to compose document.

Hoping someone has figured it out by now?

Hello Richard,

I do not see any recent bugs tied to Document Composition, Workflow, and Desktop Host. Can you please reach out to your first line of support for additional troubleshooting steps? They will be best equipped to work through your specific setup, and they also have the ability to reach out to R&D if needed.

Thanks,

Greg

Been through that whole loop last year guess we will try again maybe someone's figured it out by now?
