SAP Temporary files can be housekept?

Hi,

We are configuring SAP ArchiveLink and one of the requirements in configuring the repository in SAP is the Basic path (UNC path for SAP temporary files associated with the Content Repository). Our client asked if these temporary files may be housekept, like retaining them until 3 months. Can these temporary files be deleted? Thank you. 🙂

Regards,

Lariza

Hi Lariza,

We do not believe that you need the Basic Path or Archive Path configured for the repository.  It looks like the SAP ArchiveLink - OnBase Foundation EP5 Module Reference Guide states that this should be completed, which may be where the confusion is coming into play.  So it appears that your client can purge any temp files that are more than 3 months old.

To be sure, you can contact your first line of support for assistance.  A Support person can do some extensive testing prior to having your client do this.

Thanks,

~Alan

Thanks for that info Alan. It's great to know that it is not required to the configuration.
