The deprecation of support for TLS 1.0 by DocuSign could affect some of our customers and demo environments. DocuSign is moving away from TLS 1.0 in production environments on June 25, 2018.  This is not an issue in OnBase 18, but may affect customers on OnBase 15, 16 and 17. In order to maintain compatibility, registry settings must be set to use TLS 1.1 or 1.2, requiring customers on earlier versions of OnBase to change this manually.

For reference, here are the relevant SCR’s:

  • OnBase 17 is compatible with both TLS 1.1 and 1.2
  • OnBase 15: SCR 250866 added compatibility with TLS 1.1 and 1.2 in OnBase 15.0.3.240
  • OnBase 16.0.0.1: SCR 234463 added support for TLS 1.1 and 1.2 in OnBase 16.0.0.1 and higher

TLS is not a setting set specific to OnBase, but to the Servers used. To force TLS 1.1 or 1.2 to be used on the Server (AppServer / Web Server / etc), this is done through a change to the registry. More info on that can be found in various Microsoft resources, such as the following:

Updating your system to use the most up-to-date software and protocols, like the latest version of TLS, can only bolster your security.
