We recently launched a new series about our Content Services Workbook and it is time to tackle our first core capability: Capture.

A good place to begin is to ask how you can eliminate paper and manual processes and where do those still exist. Or how early are you capturing content? You might be surprised at what you find. Even a re-check can help identify new opportunities for process improvement.

For example:

  • Do you know all of the documents that are coming into your organization and from what source (e.g. forms, faxes, emails, text reports, Office documents, etc.)?
  • Today could you leverage captured information and use it for actionable data?
  • Do you still have storage and shipping costs with maintaining paper archives?

Capture has come a long way in its intelligence. It’s dimensional just like each organization and by asking questions like the above, you can begin the journey of having important process discussions with your team. Our goal for this activity is to reduce day-to-day pain points and address decreased productivity due to not having all the critical content on hand with minimal manual data entry.

Here is a customer’s take on the evolution of Capture.

If you would like help facilitating these types of discussions, our team can work with your end-users, IT staff and leadership to explore the systems in use and where manual processes are occurring.
