As a Hyland Cloud customer, you are probably already familiar with how our Secure File Transfer works. If you are interested in adding an additional layer of security for your files in-transit, PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) might be an option for you.

PGP is a security program that enables users to communicate securely by decrypting and encrypting files or messages. PGP uses the public key system in which every user has a unique encryption key known publicly and a private key that only they know. This solution ensures a heightened level of security and strengthens the overall communication system resilience.

If you have a technology implemented on your corporate network to support PGP process you can request PGP configuration by reaching out to your Hyland first line of support.

We can enable your SFTP account for PGP encryption for the file upload process to Hyland SFTP site and file download process from Hyland SFTP site.

The first option will let you encrypt the files sent to Hyland. The uploaded files will decrypt in the Hyland cloud once they arrive at our file transfer platform.

For Outgoing PGP, the exported files will be encrypted and you will be able to decrypt them once downloaded successfully from the Hyland SFTP site.
