Hello guys !

I just discover Alfresco and I wonder :
- what's the difference between Community and Lab version ? ( I just want to install the complete solution and I found it's the same thing, could you confirm please ?)
- What is Web Quick start ? I have found in the documentation many purposes but at the end, do I need it ?

I used the alfresco-community-4.2.c-installer-linux-x64.bin because I have JDK and tomcat installed and I want to use a mysql database but I've got this : "This release was packaged to run on J2SE 6.0."

I have to use alfresco-community-4.2.c.zip instead ?

Thanks for all your answers.

Regards.

Enterprise edition :- Has support and updates and rigorously tested
CE Community edition even thought tested and stable, it get evolved better from the feedback of the community users. this later on get much stable and goes as enterprise edition.
If you plan to use Alfresco on production server, go for the enterprise edition

java comes by default while install alfresco, for 4.2c it is java 1.7
mysql libraries are not there, you need to later copy mysql jdbc driver to the /tomcat/lib directory

Thanks for reply.

As far I understand, Web Quick start complete installation of Alfresco from a .war, a .bin, …
