Hide other users' home spaces

Other than going into each folder and editing permissions, is there a way to hide users' home spaces from other non-admin users? I have a circumstance where I would like to have the logged-in user see only the content of their own space, both in the Web client and via CIFS.

I believe the default ACLs for user spaces are configurable.  I don't recall exactly where this is configured but a perusal of the wiki and/or configuration files should quickly locate the relevant configuration.
