Document management

Hi guys, i'm very new to alfresco. I need to create DM system for 5000 folders , each folders has minumum 500 pages to keep in the DM(Document Management) is ALfresco scalable up to it?  And also which is the best way to do it, wheter to use MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle. I need help from u guys, pls help me!!

what do you mean by pages ?  documents or folders ( spaces ) ?

the minimum of 500 documents/spaces in a folder is not adviced if you want to be able to open that folder.

If you would always access it directly ( from the simple or advanced search ) it should work but opening folders of more than 500 items could give incomplete results

try to create additional subfolders to reduce the number of documents in a folder
