I'm looking for a Sharepoint alternative. We currently rely on it for a limited number of features, and I am trying to find out if Alfresco has these features. I've been browsing the Alfresco site for a while and it's actually pretty hard to get a sense of its feature set. Here's what I need it to do:
-Document sharing and management (I know Alfresco has this)
-Let users populate a database through a front-end interface, similar to Sharepoint's List tool
-Let users create graphic reports based on that data
-Let users create chat rooms for groups of people
I imagine all of these capabilities are at least possible through custom add-ons, but given our situation, I would need them out-of-the-box or with an instantly available add-on. It'd be really helpful if I could see these in action as well.
