Alfresco DMS service to Core Application

Hi

I am evaluating Alfresco to be used as a DMS(Document Management System) for my application. Please suggest if I can use Alfresco as a web service to manage all the documents by users of the application running underneath my core application where all the security policies and user authentication is handled by the core application. If this is possible please suggest some samples available ,if any, which can help me to achieve this task.

This is my very first venture into Alfresco and I am really not aware of the potential Alfresco has to offer. Also please let me know if there are any interesting articles which may provide useful for young Alfresco developers like me.

Hi,

There are numerous ways you can use Alfresco for your DM solution.  One of the best approach is create your set of RESTful API's accrording to your need and call them from your core application.  At the same time i would like you to go through some of these post, which definitely ignite your idea.
