Upgraded 17 to 17SP1, now I'm getting an error about Hyland.Core.Collaboration.KnowledgeTransfer.AdminListener

We've upgraded two test servers from 17 to 17SP1. One server works just fine, however the other throws an exception while trying to connect from our application. I've tried comparing the two servers to figure out what's different between them, but I'm not finding anything that seems to be the culprit. I was hoping to get some insight into what that error means to hopefully track down what's wrong with the one server.

The full exception details are logged to the Event Viewer as:

The API call that we're making in our application is Hyland.Unity.Application.Connect(), and we're passing in the AuthenticationProperties object that was created from a call to Application.CreateOnBaseAuthenticationProperties(). Beyond that, let me know if there is any additional information needed. Thanks!

Hello Jacob,

You mentioned there are two different servers. Are these load balanced?

Hello Adam,
The servers are entirely separate, no load balancing.

Jacob,

How was the upgrade performed?  Was this an in-place upgrade or was a new application server created on the same system?  You also mentioned that one of your servers is running fine.

Would it be possible to create a new application server on the same system where it is not working?

Hi Daniel,

The upgrade has been attempted a couple of times by using snapshots of the server. We initially tried uninstalling the existing applications on both servers followed by installing SP1. I believe this is the method that you are referring to in your last question, let me know if it's not. This method worked for one of the servers, but not the other. From there, we rolled back the snapshot and attempted the upgrade again on the non-working server. This was done by just doing an in-place upgrade, but still resulted in the same error.
