Unknown error while runing(mysql error)

Hi All,

i am new to Alfresco.when i m Installing alfresco in my windowXP. i m facing two mysql problem

1.Problem running post-install step.Installation may not complete correctly
Unknown error while runing C:/Alfresco/mysql/bin\mysql.exe -h localhost -p 3306 -u root -padmin -e "CREATE DATABASE alfresco;"
2.Problem running post-install step.Installion may not complete correctly
unknown error while running c:\Alfresco\mysql\script\servicerun.bat STOP

Plz Plz help me…

I have just tried to install Alfresco for the first time - got exactly the same error message.

Is anyone able to help / give an advice what this could be caused by?

hello there! I am having the same error too. But for me, I'm trying to install it in a 64-bit windows 7 machine. Any thoughts on how to resolve this? I'm also new with Alfresco.  :?

which version of alfresco you are using… is another mysql running on your machine with same parameters?

    install the mysql before alfresco installation & create a schema and use this schema to map the alfresco server…
