Unable to run Community Edition installer on Centos

Hi,

I'm attempting to use the installer to install the Alfresco Community Edition on Centos 6.4.

I ran the following commands
$ chmod +x alfresco-community-4.2.c-installer-linux-x64
$ ./alfresco-community-4.2.c-installer-linux-x64

and got the following message

bash: ./alfresco-community-4.2.c-installer-linux-x64: cannot execute binary file

Has anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening. My apologies if this is something obvious, this is my first time looking at Alfresco.

Kind of a shot in the dark here but:
Are you sure your system is 64bits?
Because a 32bits OS won't be able to execute this 64bits installer

Yep, that's it alright. Whatever check I did initially led me to believe that it was a 64 bit version. I just did a better check to discover that it is indeed 32-bit. After the VM guy swore blind it was 64-bit Smiley Happy

Thanks for the reply
