Specify the additional properties to Users

Hello All!

Im totally new to Alfresco.  :?  Trying to understand - how to customize the system for our needs.

And the very first question i got - is how to specify some additional properties in Users sheet or to uploaded documents? Where could i read about it?

Hi,

basically you have to do two things:

1. The content stored in an Alfresco repository is described by a so-called data dictionary. You have to extend that data dictionary with a description of your additional properties (name, type, multiplicity, etc.). There is a guide in the Alfresco wiki.


2. You must tell the web client to display your additional properties and/or to make them editable. The Alfresco wiki provides another guide describing how to achieve this.
