Solr Instability

Hi,
We are facing issue in Alfresco4.1.4 with solr indexing, Below are the issues we are facing:

1)Some times Solr does not provide search result.After restarting solr it works fine for 4-5 hours, (This issue doesn't occur every time, if we perform search multiple times for the same document some times it gives result but sometimes returns null)

2)Performance issue in search, Whenever we run performance script for 20 user search functionality gets very slow for some particular set of data.

Note:We have saperate tomcat for SOLR on the same physical Alfresco server.
