Publish PDF and XML from WQS to Joomla

Hi,

I'd like to publish documents (PDF and XML document pair) from WQS (Alfresco 3.4d) to an existing Joomla site (Joomla 1.6), which is configured to parse the XML and store the PDF. It's an arms-length site, so I don't want to use the Alfresco document repository as the document store for the Joomla site; the Joomla site should work independently from Alfresco.

What's the best way of implementing this? CMIS, Transfer Service, Replication Service or something custom as outlined in this post on Drupal: http://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23530?
