Install program does nothing on Linux

Hi,

I've just downloaded Alfresco for Linux from the link there:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3#Linux_complete_installation
then I tried to execute it as documented there:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3_on_Linux_with_command_line_interface.

The problem is that nothing happens.  Well, the application
executes (no error like "command not found", execution bit
set…) but just nothing happens.  A blank line is displayed,
then the application exists.

I am on Ubuntu 8.04, sun-java6-bin is installed.

  Would you have any clue?

  Regards,

Florent Georges

I'm having the same issue.   Any ideas?
I've chmod'd the installer and it doesn't do anything,  tried as a normal user and sudo

figured it out,  just add .bin to the end of the file
