CIFS problem on Alfresco Labs 3.0 Final

Hello,

I've installed Alfresco Labs 3 final, tomcat bundle, on an Ubuntu 8.04 box with JDK 1.6 update 7, where everything's working alright, but the CIFS protocol.

While I can successfully connect and browse my Alfresco box (hostname is collab) from the command line, using programs such as smbclient ($smbclient -L collab\\alfresco) and mount.cifs ($sudo mount.cifs //collab/alfresco/users/ilias /mnt/ -o credentials=.alf,codepage=cp437,iocharset=utf8), I can't 'see' the cifs alfresco server from either Gnome's nautilus (v.2.24) network shares discovery tool or Mac OS X's one, which gives an error 36.

We are currently using Alfresco with WebDav, but we'd prefer CIFS/Samba, so if anyone had a similar problem or any tips, we'd be more than welcomed.

I've attached my file-servers files for inspection and I could give any further information if needed.

file-servers.properties: http://ilias.pastebin.com/m393ec58f (before being hard coded to the next ones)
file-servers.xml: http://ilias.pastebin.com/m115c6c49
file-servers-custom.xml: http://ilias.pastebin.com/m7035c96a

Thank you in advance,
Ilias Romanos
