How to procure/evaluate Alfresco?

Hello everybody,

while screening the market for an ECM-project aiming to scan, route, collaborate and archive documents, I came across of Alfresco as solution.
Having in mind "classic" software selection with an RFI/RFP and evaluation against requirements, I'm struggling to figure out how this would work for Alfresco.
Could you help out with hints and tips on
1) how to evaluate Alfresco in the BENELUX-Region (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg)?
2) how to contact a distributor (the webside does ot return any distributor for Belgium, Luxembourg, France oder Germany)?
