Copyright exclusive ownership, is it possible?

According to the GPL License under which Alfresco is released, and supposing that an association uses Alfresco Community edition and customises it to comply with it's needs, can this association keep the copyright ownership of the resultant software in an exclusive way?

Just a clarification: Alfresco Community is released under LGPL v3, not GPL.

GPL and LGPL Licenses conditions are different.
