Calendar does not allow events over multiple days

Hi,

I'm a newby to Alfresco and to using the forum so I apologise if I have put this in the incorrect area.

I have a vanilla Alfresco Community 4d installation and have created a space in Share and added the Calendar Site Page via the Customize Site menu.

When I add a new calendar item for greater than one day (say the 10 April 2012 to the 13 April 2012), the item only appears on the first day (10 April 2012) of the event and not over muliple days. When I reopen the event, the start date and end date are displaying as 10 April 2012 in this example.

This seems to me to be a bug. Is this the right way to report this?

Hi Conrad,

Yes that is a bug, thanks for letting us know about it. The best place to report bugs is in our JIRA, our bug tracking software at: https://issues.alfresco.com/ that way it can be correctly assigned, prioritised and tested.

However in this case, I've just gone right ahead and fixed the bug (revision 34654) and kept a note of it at: https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-13389 , so it should appear in the next nightly build/community release for you.

In the mean time, as a work around, you can turn All Day events into Multi Day events by dragging the right hand edge of the event box.

Hello David,

Could you tell me what you did to fix this issue? What piece of code have you changed?

I've tried to discover and for that I've compared some files like http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror/alfresco/HEAD/root/projects/slingshot/config/alfr... with my own Alfresco Community Installation 4.0d, but all files that I've compared are equal.

I've tried webapps/share/modules/create-event.js too, but is equal.

I prefer to update a single file than all Alfresco installation.
