Would like to know if there are any benefits to deploying Alfresco on JBoss as opposed to a servlet container namely Tomcat.  Any feedback greatly appreciated.

If you need to have a cluster for the application session with JBoss is very easy to configure this type of architecture.
JBoss has many JMX tools to allow administrators to manage some custom ManagedBean, and Alfresco Enterprise has many ManagedBean very useful, some of these are operational.
In this way you can invoke calls to repository to manage some critical feature.
In this way you can evaluate all the data that you need to make visible in the jmx-console of JBoss.
