Alfresco Gallery

Hi,
I've been searching but keep going in circles. I am looking for information on getting an Alfresco to do image management in the form of a gallery, sort of like this example: http://www.slideshare.net/lawrence_a/alfresco-30-gallery-component-tagging
But not sure if that is available or not.

The gallery concept in that presentation was just that - a proof of concept. It was part of our design plan to do an all-Flex client, but we dropped that idea quite early on.

I wanted to install Alfresco to do exactly that…
I think I will need to look elsewhere…

Image document management and text document management is equaly important in a communication enterprise like us.

Do you have any idea of modules, templates, or plugins that will enable a gallery type view/functionality within the alfresco/share interface?

There's a very simple "image view" dashlet that might suit, depending on what your requirements are. If it doesn't quite fit, it would be a good starting point to extend with the functionality you require.

Hi,

For anyone coming along here I'd like the mention that there is an image gallery dashlet that I created for the 2011 Alfresco dashlet challenge. It is still no full featured gallery (e.g. not tagging) but a great improvement over the "image view dashlet" that ships with Alfresco Share.
