Writing history information

Hi,

is it possible not only to read but to write entries to the Activiti history somehow?

I have a combination of Camel and Activiti in place and would like to track the whole end-to-end process, not just the Activiti part. The idea is to write a Camel tracer which writes to the Activiti history as well.

Is this feasible?

Activiti-history is dedicated to process-instances, variables etc. Don't see any simple way of adding your own history to it, since it's not really meant to be extended…
