Does anyone know if Alfresco has application extenders like Onbase Enabler and EMC ApplicationXtender to allow Mainframe terminal emulation screens to access the DMS? Are there ANY open source DMS applications that do, if Alfresco does not?
I read the EMC ApplicationXtender data sheet and can't really figure out what it actually does. It sounds like some sort of interface that allows SharePoint to talk to Documentum. But I don't see any reference to mainframe terminal emulation, so maybe there's another way to ask your question?
In short, Alfresco has a restful API and a web services API, and I know you can run web services clients on mainframes so perhaps that would give your mainframe application access to Alfresco?
