We got and applied a temporary license in our dev OnBase system to start working with batch scanning while waiting for the real licenses.
We got 3 license files, Dev, Prod and Disaster Recover.
This was the first time I have had to apply a license since the system was installed. Since we only needed the temporary license in dev, I am assuming that we can ignore the prod license and I have not applied it, but I am still not very experienced with OnBase yet, so I thought I would reach out to the community and ask just to make sure.
Thank you,

Hey Rick,
Whenever a license certificate is issued regardless of type of license you will receive a certificate for each type of system that Hyland has on record. Typically all customers would have a Production, Development and Disaster Recovery system. The licenses are independent of each other and will only apply to the system for which they are assigned. So to answer your question you only need to apply the license to your development system at this time to license it for scanning and you can ignore the other license files for now, and only apply the Certificate for the system specified Prod=Prod, Dev=Dev, etc... Once your permanent certificate is finalized you should receive 3 more files for all of your systems you should then apply those new license certificates to all of your systems so they all have the same licenses. When installing the the certificate it also updates the information regarding your companies info, address, HSI#, etc, to match what we have in our internal systems, when you import it will show you a comparison with your existing licensing information nd let you know of any changes, be sure to review the comparison to be sure that everything is correct prior to continuing with the import of the Certificate.

Thank you for the response. This matches what I believed but like I stated, this was my first time handling the license certificate and I just wanted confirmation.
