Buenas tardes.
Currently we have a difficulty with concurrent licenses, we are observing that some licenses are not released, they appear consumed from the previous day, even on occasions for several days.
We have configured a TimeOut of 5 minutes to the user groups and we see that after 5 minutes the message appears on the screen.
We have adjusted the following lines of the web.config in the AppServer
<sessionState mode = "InProc" timeout = "5" /><session enableTimeout = "true" />
Some sessions are released but others are not, they are from the same user group with the same privileges, they are not named licenses and we have ruled out any difference in user configurations.
The licenses that remain unreleased change.
I do not see more options that I can modify to release the license, it is worth mentioning that users use unity Client and some use Mobile Client (Android).
Is it advisable to perform a scheduled IIS reboot every day at night?
If not feasible, what am I missing?
Thank you.

Hello!
Yes you can run an IIS reset every night. This is what we do also. Many months ago we noticed the same issue and it was because the IIS reset schedule was not running. Once we got it working again it fixed us.
Have a great day!

Muchas gracias por tu respuesta.
Vamos a verificar si existe alguna otra modificación que permita liberar las licencias y ya en ultimo recurso procederíamos con la programación de un IISreset.
Saludos.

hi Fabian,
Which version is your Application Server?
For Unity Client are you using Service Mode?
thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug, OnBase v18.0.1.42 is currently running with Enterprise concurrent Client licenses, I didn't understand what unity client as a service refers to.
Can you please explain what you refer to?

hi Fabian,
I recommend that you update to 18 SP2 to have the latest security updates and fixes. This is also required for browser modules to work with the latest Chrome and Edge.
Service Mode is a setting in the Unity Client .config and when enabled keeps the user logged in and the Unity Client running in the background. The Unity Client will show up in the Windows system tray. If Service Mode is used, it is expected to see the users still logged.
More information Service Mode is in the Unity Client MRG.
In general, we do not recommend setting <session enableTimeout = "true" /> in the Application Server and it would be better to understand why the sessions are still active, which could be because of Service Mode or other processes.
thanks,
Doug
