New to Cascading Data Sets

I have one set up in test and it is working partially the way I had hoped.

I have an Autofill on an Invoice Document type that when the Invoice is keyed it autopopulates several keywords, including Vendor Number.  What I would like is for the cascading data set to see the Vendor Number and automatically fill in my new keywords with the data in the cascading data set.  I have to manually select those, is there a way to autofill those?

Thank you for your help,

Shelia

Hello Shelia,

From what you are describing above, it looks liek you are asking for Cascading Autofill Keyword sets. You can achieve that by doing the following:

  • Keep one primary AFKS with "Invoice" as the primary value
  • Create another AFKS with "Vendor Number" as the primary value
  • Assign both the AFKS at the keyword type level (see image below)

When you assign AFKS at Keyword Type level, you can use that in multiple document types, it is more global.

After assigning it there, you will be able to create the cascading effect. You will still have the enter tab for the Vendor Number for that AFKS to trigger.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
