I am using Alfresco 2.1RC1 and i have this situation:

There are 3 users, ex: joe, mary and alex.

"joe" assigned an adhoc-task to alex
"alex" is now the owner of the task
"mary" accessed the task by "All Active Tasks" in "My Alfresco" and completed the task
the task returned to "joe" with the assignee "alex"

Conclusion: I don't think this is right, "mary" shouldn't have the permission to complete the task.
is it a bug?

The "All Active Tasks" dashlet should be exposed carefully.  Really, it's only for admins - but we don't yet have role based dashlets in the "My Dashboard".  So, I would configure out that dashlet if it's an issue for you.

I agree, but it's also very useful dashslet, anyway the problem is not the dashlet "All Active Tasks" this was only the way that "mary" use to enter the task. The problem is "mary" to complete a task that is not assigned to her.

Is it right to "mary" complete a task assigned to "alex" and the task returns to "joe" with the assignee "alex"?

In my opinion "mary" shouldn't have the permission to close the task, but considering that it had, the task should the return to "joe" with the assignee "mary".
Dont you agree? Or i am not seeing the all picture?

I agree, you're scenario highlights an issue.  There should be permissions on task completion, but that's not there yet.

Normally, it's not an issue, because you can only see tasks assigned to you in your inbox.  The "All tasks" dashlet obviously lets you see tasks assigned to others.

Permissions on tasks will be a future enhancement.
