Why the task 'usertask' is required in BPMN file?

When I try to deploy a BPMN does not have "usertask" an exception is thrown. Why?

A usertask is *not* required, so something else must be wrong.

Are you sure this is the real error? Please post the full stacktrace and the bpmn file is possible. That way it is MUCH easier for us to help you
