Where is activities-jobs.properties in 5.0??

Does anyone know where to find the activities-jobs.properties file in Community 5.x?  It isn't in the normal place that 4.2 was and I need to turn off (globally) the activities notifications to my users.

Thanks for any help you can give!  Smiley Happy

Hello,

most of the configuration files you could previously find in the alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco structure are now contained directly in the JARs of the project they belong to. That particular file should not be contained in alfresco-repository-XX.jar. Since you should not modify anything in those files anyway, this "only" limits the ability to look up potentially undocumented configuration parameters (for which a documentation JIRA might be raised - there should not be any undocumented parameters).
Your custom configuration parameters can also be set in alfresco-global.properties (encouraged by Alfresco for all custom parameters) or shared/classes/alfresco/extension/subsystems/Activities/default/default/custom.properties (preferred by me since it is truer to the concept of subsystem configuration).

Axel,

I really appreciate your help but for some reason the line that I added to /alfresco/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global.properties is not working.  I added the line : activities.feed.notifier.enabled=false to the Email site invitation setting section of the file. I then restarted my alfresco instance from the alfresco.sh util but my users are still getting the activities summary messages.

Any other thoughts?  I'm desperate and my users are ready to kill me.  Smiley Happy

Thanks much, my friend!

Hello Keith,

that is a bit strange since I have been running multiple systems with that setting for years.
On property that may be tried is activities.feed.notifier.cronExpression (e.g. expression of "0 0 0 ? * * 2099" for "run any midnight in 2099" aka "never").

Regards
Axel

Axel,  thanks much, my friend.  For some reason, the change didn't take effect until I rebooted the box.  Stopping and starting Alfresco from alfresco.sh didn't seem to work but all seems to be well now.  Thanks so much for your help!  -  Keith
