Hi all,

I'm starting with Activiti on WAS 7. Could anyone point me to some guidelines in order to get a working installation of activiti-administrator and activiti-probe? I suppose these 2 apps are required to be able to manage the installation in production?

Thanks for your help,

Johan,

Hi Johan, nice to see you here 🙂

I remember there were some reports in the past on running the apps on WebSphere, so it sure is doable.
The only problem I can see, is possible class-clashes with jars that are pre-installed on WAS.

Probe+administrator are currently required for the management of the engine (if you dont want to write it yourself).
Note that we are currently consolidating those webapps, so in the near future it will be only one war.

I have published a blog post about running activiti on WebSphere Application server here:

http://www.bpm-guide.de/2012/01/22/run-activiti-on-ibm-websphere-application-server-with-camunda-fox...

It covers transactions and background processing / JobExecutor.
