WebDav users

Hello i would like to know how i can crate users for the cifs and webdav connection because it only works when i login as an admin with the standard alfresco password admin.

where is the console to crate new users or whatever for login in at webdav and cifs?

You have to use web client to create users.

Login as admin and go to the administration console. There is a link for managing system users, go in there and select Create User.

i know but it aint workin.

I created for example User XXX.

He has his space YYY and so on.

Then i log in as XXX.

When i go to a space and there is the shortcut button to connect with cifs in the windows explorer.

They want me to give a USername and password but it aint the same as i logged in Alfresco.


Thats the problem.



Where can create users or whatever to login with cifs or webdav for example from my windows exploerer?Or if i connect to that certain folder i have right i cant go into the folders in that space but my USer XXX has all rights!

It only works with admin admin!

Then i went to another Client and loged in alfresco.I went to the Windows Explorer but he even cant find that drive?


With Webdav its something else because when i connect through the windows explorer with Webdav it works but there is the problem that i can see the folders from other users and go insiede their folders.

I set the rights good on the webclient.When i use webdav through te internet explorer i cant see the folders of the others and that how it should be under the windows explorer too.

But with cifs nothing works!

ok it seems really to work with the accounts of alfresco:-)

but not always sometimes its kind of weired!!!-> only webdav

BUT CIFS isnt working with the accounts of Alfresco!!!?????????
