Web application Development on Alfresco ECM

Hi everybody,
         i need to develop a front end website that will use the alfresco ECM and content repository. how can i do this.i think the spring surf is not an option currently because there is not suitable IDE to develop on surf than STS . The reason is that i have tried every version of sts to install spring surf addon and roo addon for surf . but nothing  is working properly. And most sad thing is there is no sufficient up to date documentation for the surf.
             So in this situation can any one suggest an idea to develop a website. Can i use JSP to develop website provided how can i get the library for alfresco.

You could take a look a WQS which is an example.

As I've explained in response to your other post, STS and Roo should not be considered options for developing Surf applications.  Surf applications primarily consist of simple XML files which do not require an IDE or tooling to create. You can use JSP with Surf if you wish. Alternatively you can write a standalone application in whatever language platform you like and use the REST API to interact with the Alfresco repository.

Can i use JSP to develop website provided how can i get the library for alfresco.

What library are you referring to?
