I tried to define custom type document and create one within WCM web project, but seems like it didnt matter. the type was shown as " {http://www.alfresco.org/model/wcmmodel/1.0}avmplaincontent" in the node browser. nor can i add aspects to documents on the WCM projects? anyone has any ideas ?
Because web content needs to be able to be deployed to vanilla filesystems (most of which have no support for metadata), Alfresco WCM uses XML files for storing metadata. You can define content entry forms (equivalent to DM style property sheets) for your content contributors using Web Forms (see http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Forms_Developer_Guide for more details).
While DM style aspects can be attached to to WCM content, they can only be used for systematic purposes (eg. for system metadata and to support XML Metadata Extraction and Lucene indexing) and are not exposed via the JSF Web Client UI.
