Users lose permissions intermittently

Hello,

I have came across this scenario multiple times.  Whenever I assign users coordinator rights to a space everything seems to be working fine.  But then after some time of working with Alfresco they login to Alfresco and browse to that space it seems that all of their rights are gone.  They cannot edit, check in/out docs, etc. within the space.  All they have available for each file is the details icon and the more info arrow icon.  Wierd.  But once i have them log out and log back in to Alfresco everything returns to normal.  I've seen this numerous times and it doesnt matter what role the user have or which space they browse it seems to happens regardless.  I've checked my log files and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  This is very alarming to me, is there anything i can do about this?

Alfresco Community 2.1
RedHat Enterprise 3
PostGreSQL 8.2.6
Tomcat 6.0.14

Hello,

Yes I have experienced this too… very intermittently. What is your authentication setup? The trouble for us is that it has been very difficult to replicate reliably. I had a call with support but there wasn't much they could do without being able to repro the issue.

Hi

Make sure users enter their user names in a consistent case.
What authentication machanism are you using?

There are bug fixes to make sure the user name matches that held on the person object.
