User Task after exclusive gateway

Hi,

I am facing an issue where the user task in sequential order after an exclusive gateway is automatically run when the flow evaluates in it's direction. It is my understanding that when a user task is reached after exclusive gateway, the process should wait for the user. Has anyone faced this issue? Could you help me resolve this please?

Can you add an example? AFAIK your understanding is correct and I'm experiencing the correct behaviour when using an exclusive gateway.
