You can use CIFS, WebDAV or FTP - WebDAV is enabled by default, the other two will need some configuration.

Please see these forums or the wiki for details

Hi Mike,

I have a similar requirement, where i want a bulk upload.  I am wondering, Does Alfresco has drag and drop functionality in webclient? or do you aware of any forge software which can do this task?

Many thanks

The webclient is a website, therefore you're not going to get drag-and-drop without either a signed Java applet or an ActiveX control.

Use the file interfaces I mentioned instead, which work fine.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply.  I know i need an Applet or an ActiveX for this, but i was just curious to know, is there any similar project in Alfresco forge or not.

Anyway, i am using CIFS for bulk operation.

Thanks

Hi

Sorry - needed to check you were aware of the current limitations of a web browser!   I'm not familiar with all Forge projects, so can't say for certain, but I haven't heard of a solution. The nearest web-based one we have is the Flash-based multiple file uploading in Share.

Thanks,
Mike
