upgrade from 4.0a to 4.0d

Hello all

I would like to know the best route to upgrade from Alfresco 4.0a to 4.0d (without losing data of course). Do I just download and run the 4.0d installer or is the upgrade process different? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

That should be a simple upgrade as the only changes between those two versions are bug fixes.

The upgrade process is documented here:

The general process is:
* Backup your Alfresco data (database, content store, and indexes).
* Install the new version of Alfresco.
* Point the new version of Alfresco at the existing database and content store.
* Restore your indexes into Alfresco.

I haven't tried the process using Solr yet.
