Upgrade Enterprise 2.2.2 -> 3.3

I want to upgrade from Alfresco Enterprise 2.2.2 (328) to the latest Alfresco Enterprise.

Reading the official upgrade paths page, I guess the upgrade path is the following:
2.2.2      →  3.0 SP1
3.0 SP1  →  3.1
3.1         →  3.1 SP2
3.1 SP2  →  3.3.0 FCS

3.1 → 3.1 SP2 is actually NOT indicated as a supported upgrade path, is it because it is too obvious? Or do I have to upgrade to 3.1 SP1 first?

A much simpler upgrade path is 2.2 SP7 → 3.3.0 FCS, but for this I need to first upgrade from 2.2.2 to 2.2 SP7, is it possible?
I guess 2.2.2 means 2.2 SP2. Do I need to upgrade through all intermediary SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6 to reach SP7?

It may just be that that page is a little out of date.

As with all things Enterprise.  Please contact alfresco support.

Support told me to upgrade from 2.2.2 to 2.2.7 and then to 3.3, I will try

how did your upgrade go ?
I want to upgrade from 2.2.0 to 3.3.1 so I'm interested in any feedback.
By the way, our Alfresco runs with an Oracle database.
