Unable to upload content

I am new to Alfresco having downloaded and installed the community edition yesterday. I was following along with the tutorial and ran into this problem. After establishing a rule to convert from PDF to text in a particular space I tried to upload content. After choosing a PDF from the disk and clicking upload, Alfresco just blinks and I am logged out. The login prompt has now changed back to Guest and the content is not added.

Any clues appreciated.

What environment are you using? JBoss Portal or Tomcat?

Did you use one of our bundles or integrate into an existing server?

Can you create content via the Create Content Wizard and then view the content or does the same thing happen? i.e. you get logged out.

Have you made any changes to the installation?

I am having the same problem. My system is using Tomcat with MySQL. I can create content, but not upload it. For some reason it bounces me out as Guest when I try to UL a file. Any help would be appreciated.
